Zambian passport holders do require a visa to enter Germany.

The German Embassy in Lusaka accepts visa applications from applicants residing in Zambia and Malawi (long-term visa only) only.

Depending on the purpose and duration of your stay in Germany, you can apply for either a Schengen visa for short-term stays or a National visa for long-term stays (over 90 days). Information on the different types of visas can be found below.

Applicants who are not Zambian or Malawian citizens must submit additional documents related to their residence in Zambia or Malawi, including residence permits and proof of the reason for their stay. Please note that applications will not be accepted if these documents are not provided on the date of your visa interview
